Upcoming Horror Movies June 2024

The ‘spooky season’ is months away, but there’s still plenty of horror goodness coming in the near future. Here’s a rundown on all of the upcoming horror films coming soon to theaters and streaming.

June 2024

‘The Watchers’ – June 7

The month of June kicks off with ‘The Watchers’, Ishana Night Shyamalan’s debut film. 

The official synopsis:

“From producer M. Night Shyamalan comes “The Watchers,” written for the screen and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan and based on the novel by A.M. Shine. The film follows Mina, a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night.”

‘The Exorcism’ – June 7

The plot is described as follows:

“Academy Award-winner Russell Crowe stars as Anthony Miller, a troubled actor who begins to unravel while shooting a supernatural horror film. His estranged daughter, Lee (Ryan Simpkins), wonders if he’s slipping back into his past addictions or if there’s something more sinister at play. The film also stars Sam Worthington, Chloe Bailey, Adam Goldberg and David Hyde Pierce.”

‘Longlegs’ – July 12

“In pursuit of a serial killer, an FBI agent uncovers a series of occult clues that she must solve to end his terrifying killing spree.”

‘Twisters’ – July 19

Plot details via Universal:

“Twisters stars Daisy Edgar-Jones (Where the Crawdads Sing), Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick) and Anthony Ramos (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts) as equal forces, with opposing motivations, who come together to try to predict, and possibly tame, the immense power of tornadoes.”

‘Cuckoo’ – August 2

Official synopsis:

“Reluctantly, 17-year-old Gretchen leaves her American home to live with her father, who has just moved into a resort in the German Alps with his new family. Arriving at their future residence, they are greeted by Mr. König, her father’s boss, who takes an inexplicable interest in Gretchen’s mute half-sister Alma. ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ – September 6

‘Speak No Evil’ – September 13

James McAvoy stars in this English-language remake of the 2022 Danish film of the same name.
